5G Wifi Network

Hello every one!
I’ve been busy working on my build, and now I have a question, or rather two!
First one regarding a Wi-Fi network and second, CAN Bus communication!
I know for fact that vehicle infos, values, commands can be shared on multiple RD instances, boards and screen!
I have been reading, but probably not enough! Can the RD gurus tell me if this network is possible, please see the pict!

Now with that said, this one is for the CAN Bus specialist!
In the journey of building my “dream car”, I had to discard the Power Steering “Bloc”, don’t judge me I love my old Mercedes W124, which is a Right-hand Drive by the way. Now half way tac welding my custom exhaust manifold, I came across a real dilemma! There was not enough space to fit the 3" exhaust pipe! So it was removed and the only thing I could get was an Electric Power Steering Rack, could fit anything into the column, not enough space since it has electric hight setting! After further inspection of the EPS, I’ve realised it has the torque sensor and computer at the back of the motor on the rack, with only 4 wires! 12V battery, + and -, and two other wires, from which I can guess are CAN, one green and a white yellow ish! My first question is, if I hook a UART to CAN transceiver to my custom Arduino CAN box, will all the engine infos be available on the CAN bus, if yes then can I send those infos to the EPS once I will figure out its pin out, CAN IDand so forth, to make it work, though to my knowledge they have a limp mode!
Please bare patience with me, I am willing to learn! Thanks so much in advance.

Their official website page for it.

If anything just make sure not to share the same value between devices.

I believe the most I’ve used is 3. Android Tablet with OBD2 connection, phone and android radio.

Yeah, you are right but seems to me, it was not with a router, gonna have a look again. Thanks

Actually, I believe you can have a router in between. Most people don’t for the obvious reason that it’s within a car.

But technically a hotspot acts like a router assigning ip addresses and direct traffic.

The devices simply have to be on the same network to receive and send data.

I believe when you have the main device host it will give an IP address for you to input on the receiving devices which once they connect they will show the data that’s shared.

Also you don’t technically need to be connected to the Internet to do this. As long as you have a network established and the devices are on the same network you can still share data.

But for the obvious reason information pulled form the internet, like weather and street names, won’t be available.

Thank you, I’m working on it! Trying a few other solutions to get internet on all devices!
