hi, i’m one of the developers that ports kernels, android and linux distros to the ancient ms surface rt device. which is a nvidia tegra 30 device. i also have a keen interest/knowledge in automotive hardware/software. the current status of this device is under ubuntu 19 the latest version of realdash works with gpu accelerated display. it has a spare i2c controller exposed via a header on the mainboard and I will be now looking into getting some canbus connectivity to it. these devices are cheap and with a little modification, they can be a robust and powerful display for realdash.

With CAN capability, this could be a very nice option for a RealDash screen. Please keep updating your progress. We are also interested of purchasing a device from you.
