Fuel Level Input Not Displaying in RealDash

Hello RealDash ,

I’m facing an issue with the fuel level reading not showing in RealDash.

I have already enabled an analog input on my ECU and assigned it as Fuel Level, but it does not appear or respond in RealDash.

For your information, the connection between my ECU and RealDash is via USB (not CAN or Bluetooth). All other channels work fine except the fuel level.

Could you please advise what could cause this and how to make the fuel level input display correctly in RealDash?

Thank you for your help and support.

Best regards,

Tariq Ahmed Al Ajmi

  • Go to ‘Settings->Application->Debug->Debug Data View’ and verify that you are reading correct fuel level value on custom input.
  • Then go to ‘Settings->Units & Values->Input Mapping’ and map your custom input into ‘Body->Fuel Level’

I’m using MaxxECU Sport, connected to RealDash via USB.

I have configured Analog Input 8 in MTune as a Fuel Level (0–100%) sensor. The reading works perfectly in both MTune and MDash, which confirms that the analog input is functioning correctly inside the ECU.

However, this channel does not appear or update in RealDash.

According to MaxxECU support, the analog input data (including Analog 8) is included in the USB data stream, so it should be available for RealDash to read.

I also tried checking under Custom Channels in RealDash to see if the signal could be mapped manually, but unfortunately, there was no visible data or response for Analog 8 / Fuel Level.

Could you please confirm whether RealDash currently supports all analog inputs from MaxxECU (such as Analog 8 / Fuel Level)?

If not, is there a way to add this input manually or through an updated MaxxECU integration profile?

Thank you very much for your help and support.

At some point you mentioned that you are using CAN connection.

On default CAN stream there are

  • MaxxECU: User analog input 1 - 4
  • MaxxECU: User Channel 1 - 8

If your value is not in the default set, you can configure your ECU to send additional frame and add its description to MaxxECU CAN XML file.

No sir I’m using USB cable only
