GoPro or other cameras for data overlay

Hi,

I’m sure this topic has been discussed in the past, but any update here?
I currently use DTA and Maxx Ecu ! But also data overlay with OBD would be great.

I’m not 100% sure what you mean by your request, but RealDash does offer support for built-in and USB cameras and allows to make a dashboard with video feed on the background of the gauges.

That is actually what I mean. Since I’m quite new, is there any tutorials how to set this up? I didnt find where to set up the cameras ?

To use live video feed, you make a Video Gauge and link it into a camera from Look’n Feel. If you are using USB camera, you configure the cameras in ‘Settings->Application->USB Camera’

In order to make a dashcam, use Start/Stop Screen Capture actions to record video from entire RealDash screen.

Hi, I realized the camera pack I bought only communicate via Wifi. Can I connect real dash to the camera via wifi connection?

If it is a standard “webcam”, yes.

  • Make a Video Gauge
  • Go to Look’n Feel->Video Gauge->Video Source
  • Change Source to URL and enter your webcam URL
