Hello , is there is a way to make the speedometer gauge responsive as if its had the original cluster ?
Sorry, I do not understand your question.
The speed gauge or neddel is laggy not responsive, how can I make it responsive like mordren cars with a digital dashboard
If you are using GPS as a speed source, its typically a 1hz update, so you get new speed value once per second.
If you are connected with OBD2, the update speed is completely dependent on how fast your vehicle sends diagnostic data. Data from OBD2 is not meant for real time displays, its for diagnostics.
To get maximum data rate, use CAN connection, or aftermarket ECU.
I have a dashbox , how can I connect the CAN speed from dashbox to realdash, and most of the car data are from link ecu
- Connect ECU CAN H and CAN L to DashBox CAN lines
- In RealDash DashBox connection settings
- Verify in CAN Monitor that you are receiving CAN frames from ECU
- Select Link ECU description XML.
If i do this , the vehicle speed comes from the standalone ecu in particular link ecu ?
Because I never heard that the standalone ecu calculates vehicle speed , and the reason I switched from analog cluster to digital because i don’t have a speed sensor on the vehicle
Its quite clear then that you can’t read speed from the ECU. Your options:
- Install a speed sensor and read speed with your ECU
- Purchase a high speed GPS module and connect that to RealDash
About the external high speed gps module , do you have any recommendations ?
Any NMEA compatible module should work fine. We have tested with:
- QSTARZ 818XT 10hz
- Columbus P9 Race
- RaceBox Mini
I opend the app and found the racebox but there is only Racebox mini , will the micro be supported even if i connected it on the racebox min ?
I do not know if RaceBox micro will work. The manufacturer has not provided specifications for that.
