Home apk and other questıon

Hello,

When I prepared the XML for the odometer, it showed the correct mileage perfectly. I reset my multimedia system, reinstalled RealDash, and uploaded the XML again. Now the odometer shows the correct mileage when the car is stationary, but it shows random numbers again when the car is moving.

My second question is, I use both CAN Analyzer v8 and OBD2. With OBD2, I can see the car’s exhaust temperatures, DPF soot levels, etc. If I use only CAN Analyzer v8 instead of both devices, how can I convert the XML code created for OBD2 to CAN Analyzer XML? For example; 222056 DPF soot level. I send this via OBD2 and write down the response I receive. Can CAN Analyzer do this?

Also, I didn’t understand the Home APK in version 2.6.6. Could you explain it a bit more?

Go to setting > Units and values > then tab 2 > select the “odometer is set from calculated” and click the 3 lines and remove. It is trying to use the calculated value not your defined PID. I had the same issue till I found that.

Hello, so about the Home APK -
On alot of android devices, like android headunits, you can install custom launchers to have different home themes.
This Home APK version of realdash essentially makes an android radio ONLY display RealDash - no other apps are displayed. Soon as the headunit turns on it launches into realdash.

The trick some of us used to do was use a setting in these android radios that basically launches navigation app on startup. Then, we assign realdash to be the "navigation " app. So that realdash would launch when the radio turns on. But there would be a slight lag/delay between turning on and realdash loading up. Also, other apps in the background could interrupt the realdapp, like radio etc if they werent closed completely.

Hope this clears it up.
