New haltech/real dash user pressures reading wrong

Hey

New here just setting this up for my FB rx7.

Current setup is
haltech S2 ECU
Wavshare USB to can analyser
Haltech can v3 description file
Android 13 head unit

So most things read great out of the box rpm, coolant temp, IAT

I’m having issues with pressure sensors. Oil, fuel and onboard map.

All read all over sometimes max sometimes zero sometimes numbers that don’t make sense.

Any help is appreciated :+1:

What baudrate are you running the Waveshare analyzer at? Default 2M baudrate? If yes - download their software and change that to 1.3M, then match the settings in RealDash.
It cannot keep up with sending the data at that rate.

Yes currently the 2mil default. I’ll try that

I’m in the same boat only I’m on an elite 1500 but other than that identical hardware. I have the baudrate set at 1228800, I have the same issues though. Speed and Boost read 0, oil and fuel pressure do read but at about 15psi over what the Haltech diagnostic is seeing.

I’ve got the haltech can v3 xml and updated the oil pressure line in the code that should sort it. Haven’t tried it yet though. The other issues I’m pretty clueless on.

From that dash speed is set to read off gps depending what device your running it off you need a gps signal.

If your bringing speed into your ECU you can change the input.

I still haven’t figured out boost

I managed to get vehicle speed sorted. It was only in KPH though even though RealDash was set to MPH in the units page. I’ve used guage math to add v/1.60934 to make it show in MPH and it seems good.

Trying to work out if I can use guage math to do the same for the oil and fuel pressure too, also still not worked out boost yet.

I found something on here about uploading a modified XML to sort the oil pressure sensor but I have come across issues trying to import it to RealDash. Think its an Android issue more than RD.

value targetId=“151” units=“kPA” offset=“2” length=“2” conversion=“((V/10)-101.3)/100” rangeMin=“0” rangeMax=“150”

you need to add < before value and > after “150”

find the line that starts the same as this and replace it with this one.
