I am going to be acquiring a 2005 4Runner for my Subaru. I am wondering if a digital cluster would be possible for this vehicle? Has anyone else found a bus to pull data from, from these earlier years of toyota? If it’s not possible that’s totally fine, I can stick with the OEM cluster. I am not opposed to using OBD2 but I prefer faster realtime data if possible as there was considerable lag with OBD2 for me.

Yes, it would be possible. But as you already know, it would require usage of OBD2 communications and it would not be super smooth.

I appreciate the quick response my man, I may end up just putting in a screen somewhere else or running it to where the head unit is. But seriously, thankyou! I should be getting the 4Runner today : )

Look in to OneGauge Hub, can use wired sensors!
