Hi, I have an android head unit connected to a seeedstudio can adapter working with my link ecu. However every time I start the car I have to unplug the seeedstudio adaptor from my head unit and plug it back in to get it to connect again.

It connects fine when the car is on but engine off but once I start the car it won’t reconnect.

Any ideas what could be the issue?

my opinion: a device firmware error. I had a similar situation with the USB STM32F405 and I solved it by automatically rebooting the microcontroller if it freezes at startup,

Thanks, I’m not sure i can program the can analyzer to reboot itself. I’ll see if I can check to see if I can update the firmware though

Seeedstudio can adapter has been very reliable in our use, and we do use it daily. Hard to say what could cause this issue. It could be that your headunit is not reactivating the power for the USB automatically, or something like that. There is so many Chinese Android headunits and not all of them are good.

The lack of USB power can be confirmed by looking at adapter led indicators. See what happens with them when there is no connection after re-start.

Hi! Not sure if can piggy bag into this thread.
I have connection issue where Real Dash only reads CAN data just long enough to move the numbers on dash screen, then stops, starts trying to re connect but fails.
Sometimes it starts working randomly after driving for awhile.
CAN analyser works and i bought a new cable that should support higher data transfer speed.

I’m new to all this and totally not a expert on trouble shooting this kind of stuff.
Just looking for a advice if it could be something with Real Dash and if not i will figure it out by myself.

I’m using Robotell CAN analyser and Maxxecu Street. I send the log file today 4:26
Finnish time zone.

Thank you for the log. This is interesting, in log:

```auto
Exception in connect: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Too many receivers, total of 1000, registered for pid: 8427, callerPackage: com.napko.RealDash
```

Never seen that before. Will investigate.
