It seems that my recomended here BT Dongle ELM37 , MX+ gets many more signals, PID’s with Torque PRO than with RD ?? Why is this ?
For the premium we pay here, I would expect this to work just as good.
am I wrong ??
Yes, Torque is much better option with OBD2 if you just want to see the data.
For all OBD2 users: Do not purchase anything unless you have tested the connection and are happy of what RealDash provides with OBD2 connection.
You can test all connection types with free version. There is no limitations for the connections of any kind on a free version of RealDash.
RealDash offers some basic functionality with OBD2 connection, and connection can be extended to read ‘anything’ from the diagnostic port by providing custom connection XML file:
With all due respect…most new users I see here are using an ELM device. I think maybe some more focus support is needed on this user/part of the business.
Basic connectivity via ELM is not good enough…its a standard, most popular used device. Make it as least goosd as your competors.
Connectivity, data, pids, seems to be at the core of Realdash communication. Dont get me wrong RD is far superior in Graphics, and capabilities, that is why I am trying to stick with it. Some cars, like mine (Macan) , and I see others, will not support .xml files and these other connection types. I looked !! If you have any guidance on fixing this instance for me…I am all ears !
