I was playing around with Go Pro (11) in the car today and noticed its fully controllable via the Go Pro app when installed on the head unit.
Indeed the bluetooth on the headunit connects to the camera.
This makes me think we could have a press shutter action added, which would be really cool to start camera recording depending on certain criteria and stopping when those criteria end.
I may be wrong, but GoPro Bluetooth protocol is proprietary and they do not allow other apps to control their devices.
I suspect that’s not the case since you can get chinese physical remotes and there is a software remote on Apple App Store “Go Watch” that says it is not affiliated with them in any way.

Alright, looks promising. I will put this to feature request list. It won’t be super high priority at this point though.
