I searched and found a few small discussions about using widgets in realdash n android. I saw it said it would require root, and that no way was seen to have a widget work inside another app. However, I have seen apps that make use of widgets inside the app, one of witch being another app that is a dashboard with gps, media player and all that and does not require root. Can this be looked at again? Widgets add alot of functionality.
I think root is not a problem. Currently we have no plans on developing features that are specific to one platform (Android).
