The Autoscaling feature is already great as is, not having to spend lots of time in Gimp/Photoshop/whatever manually positioning tick marks and text labels for your rotary gauges, i.e. needle and arc gauges. Currently, the labels will always face straight up, as shown in the example I threw together below:
I’d love to have a toggleable option to have the labels oriented the same way the tick marks (segments and mid-segments) are, as in the following example:
I.e. take the auto-generated labels as is, but apply a rotation value equal to that of the corresponding segment. Such rotated labels are common in gauge cluster designs by Škoda, Lexus, or Opel/Vauxhall/Holden and some popular classic cars from the US. Right now, I have to add rotated labels manually to the gauge background image. (Or I didn’t find this option yet if it is already implemented.)
