I’m having a problem with my can analyze adapter, it receives the baud rate commands, everything is fine, but no data appears, nothing works

Typical problems with CAN connections:

  • CAN H and CAN L wires connected wrong way, or poor connection.
  • Use of adapter terminator resistor, measure CAN wires resistance to confirm that its in spec.
  • Wrong configuration of adapter baud rate (USB).

Some extra tips:

  • Always confirm CAN connection on CAN Monitor in connection settings. The CAN Monitor does not use any connection XML and that helps to confirm working connection.
  • When data is shown in CAN Monitor, use Debug Data View (Settings->Application->Debug->Debug Data View) to analyse what values are updated by the CAN connection.
  • Check your custom CAN connection XML file for syntax errors with a good source code editor.
