Hello all, I’ve been having quite a bit of issues with looking for where to connect a usbcan to. Am I required to have many of them for each individual sensor or do I require only one? Any help would be appreciated

You need only one adapter to connect to your vehicle. RealDash compatible adapters listed here:

Its quite uncommon to have a CAN bus on 2002 vehicle, are you sure your Subaru has a CAN bus?

I have a waveshare adapter coming Tommorow, my best guess on how to get anything will be pull from the CAN HI and CAN low from the obd2 port in hopes it’ll work faster than my Bluetooth obd reader

Tried to run it off of OBD2 as that was the only CAN HI/LOW I could find. No avail.
Your model most likely has a CAN to connect somewhere. Mine is PreCAN for subaru (2005 was when it was implemented)

Hello there, what setting of can description on realdash do you have to use this adapter on your bmw please, i have one on audi a7 and it can read can but get nothing working on dash, thanks on adavance.
Also… can this work on an Android Headunit?
It could most likely work as long as your Android distro supports that specific protocol. I wouldn’t see why it wouldn’t

I have tapped of my gateway module under my seat and it sees the can signal on the realdash app but gauges wont move as i dont have the audi pids on the realdash can selection, i have to find Audi DBC files online but had no luck so far
You are going to have to make your own DBC file. You can try to see if a VW file would work in some small way, and build off of that. Other than that, its trial and error and reverse engineering using the Realdash CAN Monitor…

I found some dbc vw files but cant import them, it sees them in file explorer when i select them but when i import it nothing shows up in the list, any ideas please.
I wonder if file description is wrong format?
