Cant Make It Work

I have this SPLeinonen Dash Box thing and I just trying to get it to make some dashlights in RD come on.

I have powered the dashbox, and If I setup a new connection from the garage - DashBox - Bluetooth, RealDash finds it under bluetooth (although nowhere does it ask me for a pin?). Assuming its now connected…

If i bring up a dashboard, in edit mode, select any dash light (for example the battery warning), and go to “inputs & Values”, change the data source to ECU - DashBox: Digital Input 1, and then if I take the wire on the dashbox Di1, and give it +12v nothing happens.

Can’t help but feel like I am missing something obvious?

Figured it out, I had to pair the dashbox to the android unit in the android settings first.

This was a little unclear, running android on Khadas VIM3, in settings there is a bluetooth accessories option which wouldn’t find the device. However further in the settings menu, there is a proper Bluetooth menu item with more connectivity options, and I was able to pair the dashbox there.
