When I travel by motorcycle, I like to know how far I’ve travelled since I left that morning.
My approach:
I could use Trip B (or A), which I’d like to automatically reset to zero when I first set off that day.
To do this, I’d need to know the date of the last Tripmeter Reset.
So if it’s the same date as the day’s date, I do nothing and if it’s different I do a Reset.
My problem is that it doesn’t seem possible to have a stored variable, so it’s not possible to know the date of the last Reset.
How can I do this?
If there’s another approach I’d be interested too.

Use ‘Settings->Trip Diary’ and enable ‘Combine One Day Trips’. Now your ‘Current Trip’ will reset when day has changed.
Edited: Its the ‘Current Trip’ that is affected by this setting.

I checked “Combine One Day” and “Save Trips” yesterday. I rode (a little) 6.30Km. Today I got back on the bike and thought the Current Trip was going to reset. It didn’t - it continued from 6.30km.
Have I done something wrong?
Or have I misunderstood how it works?
Are you reading the ‘Current Trip’ input values?

I don’t know if it matters, but since yesterday my tablet had been on standby.
Now I’ve just done a complete reboot and the counter has gone back to 0.
I hope it doesn’t reset to 0 if I do a reboot during the day …

When this option is unchecked, each time RealDash is started its considered a new trip. A new trip file is generated for Trip Diary and Current Trip values reset every time RealDash is started.
When option is enabled, The current date is checked and if there already is a trip info saved for that day, Current Trip values will continue from previous values. Otherwise Current Trip resets.

I still have the same problem with the Current Trip. Sometimes it resets to zero at the start of the day and sometimes it continues with the existing mileage.
Do you have any ideas on what I could test to try and figure out why it’s not working for me?
I’m in development mode (Windows) with a lot of modifications and reloading (Android) of the dashboard.
Could this have an impact?
It should not. I’m sorry, but I do not have solution for this issue as I’m unable to reproduce with any of my test devices
