Since 2.3.9 I’ve seen some problems.
I glance at the dash and have noticed slow updating of values on occassion and even all values falling to zero.
No changes to xml or other config, RD is still running and menu etc is working, even datalog values seem fine.
2.3.9 had an update that was supposed to increase serial data throughput, which it does, but in exchange of more CPU usage. The improvement is so small though that I have been wondering if it is worth of added complexity and resource usage.
I will run some tests on a low end test devices.
Thank you, maybe have a toggle for this so people can use whatever performs best for them.
I wouldn’t say my 7862 unit was low end, but ambient temp has been high and cpu may be throttling.
It comes down to a single core performance. Many multicore Android devices have surprisingly bad single core performance.
