Dashboard for Automatic Transmission

Which Premium Dashboard is for Automatic Transmission Cars, so that it will display the Gears P R N D S, instead of N 1 2 3 4 5

None of our dashboards show Shifter Position. They show a actual gear instead. Very few vehicles/ECUs output a shifter position by default.

I think you should be able to create an action to show a “Letter” when gear reading is 1 to 5 by adding a text gauge on top of gear value.

My vehicle ecu send Shifter Position
Can you tell me how add on xml

Just generally, asking for help with such little information probably will not get any attention. Also, in many cases it is next to impossible to help on custom projects remotely.

BMW335I.xml (4.7 KB)
Look in here I have created some shifter but you will have to attach them to a image that comes up for each position

Hi, I have a B47 engine in my BMW 320d F30 LCI. Currently, I am connecting RD using an vGate BT adaptor via OBD2 port to an Android tablet.

Are you using an OBD connection too? Based in your xml are you getting the exact fuel parameters, turn signals, etc. like you see on your iDrive/MID?

Can I use the xml for just these parameters while the rest come in without an xml or is it like either or (i.e use an xml for all parameters or don’t use xml at all)? Only these fuel parameters are not accurate in my car. I don’t get turn signals too.

Is it safe to try your xml on my car?

I’m using canbus to control most of my stuff I’m still using Bluetooth for some things till I can find the canbus Ids. Bluetooth is to slow for stuff like RPM I would hit red line before the Bluetooth could update so canbus is 1to1 much faster.

Canbus using something like Rasberry pi or any other hardware device? You xml is specific to E90 or will it be same for F30?

BMW uses mostly the same canbus IDs but you will have to work thru it for Canbus. Its not the easiest to get working. This is the canbus device im using. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B1L4MTCM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It will work on windows and rasberry pi.
