Can you make the app compatible with Ford Sync? I have an integrated screen that’s provided with the car and apps like Waze, Youtube etc. show up and can be launced there. It’s the ideal place for the RealDash app to be displayed, otherwise you have to mount an additional tablet/phone on the dashboard/elsewhere.
I believe Ford Sync has a same problem than Android Auto and Apple car play. They limit that which kind of applications can be used for them, like map, contacts, music player etc. The problem is that APIs do not allow to render custom graphics on real time, thus it makes it very hard/impossible to make RealDash run properly on those environments.
Have you tried using Ford’s Sync emulator software or openXC?
No. Way back I did go thru some documentation. I can check again at some point.
