While searching for reliable data to calculate fuel consumption, I came across active queries for the factory instrument cluster (Renault Megdne 2 Phase 2 1.5DCi 2009).
(If anyone is interested, let me know.)
The responses to these queries contain a lot of useful data.
For example:
Fuel consumed (petrol) – Accumulated petrol consumption Start Byte: 12 2 bytes Big raw / 20 → liters
If I use my name in the .XML file: name=“TdB: Fuel Consumed” offset=“4” length=“2” endianness=“big” conversion=“V/20” units=“L”
Then the text guage shows the correct value. But if I use TargetId: Fuel Consumption (Liters or Gallons per hour) - 407
targetId=“407” offset=“4” length=“2” endianness=“big” conversion=“V/20” units=“L”
Then the value starts to jump and jump, as if something else is broadcasting to ID 407 and interfering with my value.
If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.
