Fuel gauge can setup on Audi

Hello,

I have a Audi tts 2009 I believe it cannot read fuel from obd.

My android stereo can read the fuel quantity for some reason.

What do I need to buy to get fuel gauge to work is there an obd 2 adaptor that can read the canbus ? Thanks

Your Android head unit connects directly to CAN in order to read all data from the car.

Basically you have two options:

  • Try to find your vehicle specific custom PID to read fuel level from OBD2
  • Use CAN adapter to connect RealDash to your vehicle CAN bus to read ‘everything’. In this case you would need to find the CAN frame descriptions for your vehicle, which can be difficult.
