Fuel Level Not Working in RealDash with MaxxECU (Using CANable 2.0)

Hey everyone,

I’m having trouble getting the fuel level reading to show correctly in RealDash. I’m using a MaxxECU (Sport) and connecting RealDash through a CANable 2.0 interface. Everything else (RPM, coolant temp, MAP, etc.) works fine — only the fuel level isn’t displaying.

Here’s my setup:

  • ECU: MaxxECU Sport
  • Connection: CANable 2.0 (RealDash CAN connection)
  • Input assigned in MaxxECU: Analog Input 1 (Fuel Level Sensor)
  • Works fine in MTune and MDash, but shows nothing in RealDash.

Has anyone successfully made the fuel level work from MaxxECU to RealDash?
Do I need to set a custom CAN frame in MTune, or does RealDash need a specific channel name for fuel level?

Any example XML snippets or screenshots would really help.

Thanks in advance!

  • Go to ‘Settings->Application->Debug->Debug Data View’ and verify that you are reading correct fuel level value on input called ‘MaxxECU: User analog input 1’
  • Then go to ‘Settings->Units & Values->Input Mapping’ and map ‘MaxxECU: User analog input 1’ into ‘Body->Fuel Level’

just to make sure there is a multi of options Like MaxxECU: USER AIN1 input voltage and MaxxECU: USER AIN1{x}
does it called and should be:
1- MaxxECU: USER AIN1 input voltage IS SET FROM Fuel Level
OR
2- Fuel Level IS SET FROM MaxxECU: USER AIN1 input voltage

thank you for your support

Second option is the correct one, assuming that you see correct fuel level value in ‘User AIN1 input voltage’.
