How to autostart RealDash with linux login?

Just looking for a simple way to autostart realdash once logged into linux ?
dont need it to run before login.

There has been some discussions about this, hope it will help you get started.

Auto open realdash on 2.2.8 linux w pi 4B - General - RealDash Forum

i followed your first steps and now my linux dosent boot at all :frowning:
Just a yellow screen on boot. will have to reistall it all now.

I had it working but it just oppened in a window not fullscreen like set, was hoping your sugestion would make it work but now i have to start from scratch.

Sorry to hear that. Working on Linux is geeky hard. One comma or tabulator in wrong place can cause havoc, and instructions sometimes work, sometimes don’t, sorry :frowning:

all good not your fault, reinstall is easy and i can boot into linux gui and real dash in about 30 seconds, thats fast enogh for me, just want it to open in fullscreen and not windowed as another user mentioned on another post.

I do not know why that happens, sorry.

yeah unfourtunatley preventing me from using in my car as yet as i find it too annoying to overlook. will post workaround in an easy to follow post if i find any answers that i can get to work.
