How to understand calculated values?

I’m trying to get my boost pressure to be displayed. I see that in the virtual cockpit the boost meter reads the calculated boost (bar/psi) input.

How do I figure out what input sources are used to calculate this value? The only boost related targetID I see in the custom XML is Boost Target (kPa) I send my data to that, but I don’t see the boost gauge change.

I can see in a text gauge that Boost Target input changes accordingly.

So what input source does Boost (bar/psi) need to work? Is there a way for me to see that the gauge math is?

This applies to OBD2 connections only:

  • If MAP sensor is present and readable that is used directly for Boost.
  • If no MAP, MAF sensor is used, which requires correct engine size setting in the Garage.
