I have tried to modify the dashboard but when I switch modes it goes back to the factory settings. I want to move things around cause I want gear over rpm in the center.
This should not be a problem, unless you are breaking the dashboard by editing it.
Did you try file → save as and use a new name rather than just save as you exit?
