Not wanting to learn Linux but not having any other workable options for realdash. I’m looking for somebody to build, with me a working solution. Anybody interested in creating a working solution around the following. I am happy to pay for your time on a per hour rate based on outcomes.
Linux based build
Any hardware SBC as suggested
Any Canbus connection hardware to connect to Linux (speed and polling priority)
Any GPS module to connect to Linux
Rapid boot from sleep and from off where possible.
intent is to have the SBC connected to a 20,000Milliamp Battery with passthrough charging.
A timer set to turn off the SBC if power is not active on the Canbus for 10 days.
Screen is a 1980 x ~700 screen so the size is odd. Will need to possibly rearrange some dashes to suit the screen,
Car is a Mk6 Golf GTI with a digital Dash. (indicators, fuel and Temp are in the Bezel surround so not needed on the dash)
