Map performance with "Rotate to Heading" setting

Hi,

It seems that there’s a considerable performance drop in low end devices (Nexus 7 2013) when the map special setting “Rotate to heading” is enabled.

The map itself takes its toll just by existing, dropping from 65-70 fps to 50 fps. However, by enabling that rotate to heading setting, it drops even lower to 15 to 20 fps.

Is that an unfortunate effect of this setting, or can it be optimized further?

Thanks!

Map gauge is maybe the most cpu-heavy gauge on the set, but I have not observed such a big fps drop on our test devices. I will take a look if this can be optimized further.
