We all use dummy variables, as well as variables that are saved.
It would be very convenient to make unused variables of a different color.unless, of course, it’s very difficult.

I agree, or perhaps a message informing you that the dummy you are trying to use is already being used, or a way to list the free/used dummies… Whatever is easier for you.

In next version we have new filter system for Triggers and Actions. In addition to filter them by name, the filter also works for attached inputs. For example, you can enter ‘dummy 03’ into the search box and it only shows triggers/actions that are somehow linked to the Dummy 03 input.
I know its not very sophisticated, but hopefully helps keep track of triggers and actions little easier.

You can also just rename those variables to something related to what they’re used for before you use them. This method only doesn’t work if you’re loading someone else’s dash as I believe the naming sticks only to the updated application.
That’s not what I want to achieve.I can rename it, but not use it.
