My RealDash Connection Editor

It has taken a while, but finally we are able to publish something on the My RealDash connection editor.

When you go to My RealDash Garage and tap CAN button to see your CAN XML files, there are some new features there:

  • Option to upload a XML or DBC file.
  • If DBC is uploaded, it is converted to RealDash XML
  • Clicking a file from the list shows the file structure in a tree view.
  • On tree view, click ‘Edit’ to enter into build in XML editor.

Some notes:
We have plans to extent the XML tree view into a graphical editor. Idea is that you could change XML attributes and editor would show visually of what bytes/bits current attributes are pointing at. Also, we may implement a CAN datalog playback to the editor.

The DBC importer should give you a good starting point XML file, but it is not perfect yet. If you find an issue with DBC importer (or with any other feature), please send us an email to contact@realdash.net and attach the affecting DBC file.
