I was just thinking to commercialize the dashboard that I am building for myself and thinking to implement some sort of IP protection, and/or DRM.

That said, is there any chance the software can run on non-Linux low-level devices? so that it boots instantly?
In theory, yes, RealDash can be built virtually any device that has proper graphics output support with either OpenGL (at least ES 2.0) or Vulkan. Due the graphics, the memory requirements are quite large though.
can you also email me me a my business partner is in the process of doing the same but one problem i am coming across now since our clients are mostly high end clients is that my real dash communication via obd 2 doesnt work for 2005 mercedes g wagons some old Ferraris ect i was wondering how i can program my own reading protocols ect but would also like to know how i can get get full offline mode with out everything else.
