hey guys! so i have a 2000 camaro SS. the computer is a GM E38 ecm with a T42 Tcm. i plan on running a 12.3" screen for the instrument panel. thinking about running a RP4 to drive the cluster. what would i need to get the GM ecm to communicate with the app?
First thing to try is ELM327 compatible OBD2 adapter. Buy a high quality adapter and see if you get any info from your vehicle. From RealDash perspective I do not know any other way to communicate with 2000 GM ECUs.
well the GM ecm is a E38 gen 4 which supports CANBUS. i however dont know if a canbus shield would work.
