Well assuming you are talking about OBD2 connection type (not CAN connections), you have misunderstood how OBD2 work.
OBD2 adapters handle all the protocols internally. RealDash communicates with OBD2 adapters using ‘standardized’ AT and PID request commands. So adapter hides the underlying protocol from RealDash completely.
