is there a way to execute actions based on the contents of a string variable? Triggers conditions, as far as I know, are numbers only, so no “ID248 contains string” condition is possible.
I have already set up the system notification filter to only include notifications from the source app (Blitzer.de PRO), so a text gauge whose input is “System Notification” (ID248) will only display notifications about road hazards from that app. However, I want to display a flashing icon depending on which type of road hazard lies ahead, and want the notification text and icon to be not visible once the hazard is passed. Conveniently, the distance to the hazard and the type of hazard is always included in Blitzer.de notifications. I just need a way to parse the contents of ID248 which are not numeric, either directly in RealDash or using some kind of XML file.
