Is it actually possible to show POIS on the map?..e.g. with a *.kml-file?
Another question:
I know the cards are OSM licenses …
If you are now registered with OSM yourself and can generate your own maps, wouldn’t it be ideal if you could use them?

Technically this should be possible as Speed cameras and navigation markers are already shown as sort of POI indicators on map. It is just a question how would you import your own. Would it be a web service of sort or so.
