Raspberry Pi SPI on GPIO missing in Realdash?

Hello all,

So digital GPIO works just fine but after enabling SPI, for reading Analogue to digital chip via SPI protocol, I can’t see where in Realdash the SPI analogue inputs are.

Does this exist in Realdash? SPI was enabled after Realdash was install so is that the problem?

Cheers,
Mike

There is no support for GPIO serial or SPI connections. RealDash only reads/writes pin values and is able to control servo motors.

Is there any way to have realdash read a value from the Raspberrys memory area? Just from a wiring perspective it would be neater to have the dash deal with the fuel level instead of having to wire the fuel sender to the other end of the vehicle where the ECU would be situated?

Its possible but it is so special use case and would benefit so few RealDash users that to my opinion is not worth added complexity and development time.

Cool. At least I know now during development and so can run the wires accordingly and change the design of the Pi’s daughterboard.

Hi guys
For me it would be great if it had SPI support
But…
