RealDash version 2.5.9

2.5.9 released 30.10.2025

New:

  • Option to set vehicle specific warning and critical levels.
  • CAN composite ID has optional bitmask.
  • CAN description for Opel Vectra C.
  • CAN description for EFI Technology Euro4

Fixes:

  • Fixed occasional crash on HTTP handling.
  • Current street name parsing has less false positives.
  • Windows: Fixed crash when switching from ‘Kaleidoscope’ effect.
  • Linux: gpiod is now loaded dynamically, no dependency.
  • Linux: Updated tinyfiledialogs to latest version.

NOTES

Now its possible to set vehicle specific warning and critical limits from the Garage. If limits are set in the Garage, they will override any warning and critical levels set for the gauges in active dashboard.

To set vehicle specific limits:

  • To to Garage and open vehicle hood.
  • A new menu will appear on the left side of the screen.
  • Tap ‘ADD’ to add new vehicle specific warning and critical level.

This version has taken a bit longer as our resources have been tied into a big custom project. We hope to get back on normal track within next few weeks.

Yesss!! Thank you. The GPIO makes it much easier. I’ll try it this weekend.

Windows 10 Realdash isn’t updated, even I tried to reinstalled the app still old version.

Microsoft Store is notoriously slow on showing the updates. Update is there and published by Microsoft. It may take some time before it shows for all users.

last month and previous week the 2.5.8 also not updated, that’s why the current install app still 2.5.7

Interestingly your screenshot shows change log for 2.5.9, so maybe it is updated already? Last Updated entry could be a bug of some sort in Microsoft Store.

No it isn’t updated, even the manual download from https://store.rg-adguard.net/ still outdated file

if you switch to a navigation skin and the phone reaches the Internet in flight mode, the application crashes 100%

test in any device android
as example i use “Benztown Hammer” - if rorate page with map app- crash

crash original app Realdash and Manufacrure version

Thank you for reporting, will check.

It showed the latest version for us in Store management. I will re-upload package to the store, just in case.

Yeah its updated with 2.5.92 even in https://store.rg-adguard.net/

There’s an issue with the color settings in the new version compared to the previous ones. When the Color Setting Opacity is set to Normal & Warning = 25 and Critical = 255 for Value 2, the correct (Value 2) image gauge should appear. However, in the latest version, the Value 1 image gauge is shown instead.

I tested it by adding a temporary gauge value adjustment (v+1), which made it work as before — but this is only a workaround, not the correct behavior.

also if critical value = 3 it doesn’t glow, it work if you put “2.9” before it glow

same issue with this; Color Opacity Normal & Critical = 25, Warning = 255.

here’s the test sample https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/e8tdt23h66bbp557ixsb3/realdash-color-issue-v2.5.92-test.rd?rlkey=ixkmai2blc8621gfo46pcky76&st=p4uqflya&dl=0

Yes, on old version warning and critical were ‘Equal or Above’. In latest version its ‘Above’. In our testing this did not have effect to our dashboards.

This was changed with new ‘Vehicle Specific Warning’ system, as it kind of a made sense to have ‘Above’ instead of ‘Equal or above’.

EDIT: Reports coming in that this change will affect quite a lot of existing dashboards. I’m going to revert it and upload 2.5.9-3.
