Sliders with incremental adjustment

We are doing a project using sliders to do adjustments of meters; We are noticing that the sliders have Corse adjustments, but no granular or fine control. If I have a slider with 512 increments, it is almost impossible to slider from 260 to 261. Can keyboard arrows be used for fine adjustments of sliders?

It would not work reliably as using a keyboard would require gauges to have focus to direct the keypresses to right gauge.

One thing that you could try is to add buttons to increment/decrement the same input value that is in the slider to allow user to fine tune the setting.
