Supported ODB2 Devices

Data rate is more dependant on the vehicle than the adapter itself. OBDLink adapters are expensive, but they are also reliable. Cheap Chinese ones usually go bad in few months in hard use.

Bringing back old post. Does realdash have an XML file for the OBDlink MX +

XML files are not for the adapter, they are for a vehicle.

Hello,

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m reaching out to ask for your recommendation on the best OBD2 connector currently available that works seamlessly with RealDash. I’m looking for a device that delivers accurate, real-time data without lag or slow performance.

I’m currently using a Carlinkit device with both my V8 Defender and GMC Sierra stock screens. My goal is to use RealDash as a fully functional digital cluster with custom designs, so performance and reliability are key.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I use an ELM327 and it works very well, but I have to say that I found 2 versions, one with a large white internal connector works well, another with a smaller board gives me a lot of problems

Hi - I am a new user here. I have WICAN PRO ELM327 and OBDLINK MX+ So is this realdash work with WICAN pro elm327 interface? can I use it for module adaptation and coding? is this possible.

Not sure what you mean by that as RealDash does not really give any tools for module adaptations or coding your modules.

But for reading vehicle diagnostic data, any ELM327 compatible adapter should work. We just do not have resources to test them all.

Hi Dev,

Please can you help. I have tried desperately to get my mx plus OBD to connect with realdash on my EONON pro max head unit, usually unsuccessfully. But what I have recently discovered is if I cross off the device in the dashboard then re pair it still won’t connect unless I close the app down and re open it again 2 or 3 times. It has never once just automatically connected. I have been through all the settings a million times in the mx+ app and on the realdash app and on the head unit. I’ve even watched everything I can on YouTube and read the threads on here and nothing has helped. Please please can you help me I don’t know what else to do. Thank you
Kind regards
John

This is kind of a known issue with some setups. We have not been able to track down what is causing that. All our test devices connect immediately to Bluetooth in office environment.

I’d like very much to fix this issue though. You can help by sending a debug log:
