Unable to get Navigation icons to show up

I set up an image gauge and linked it to the “Navigation: Instruction, Current” input, such that it should now show icons for the navigation instructions. However, during navigation, the gauge stays empty. I tried restarting navigation, restarting the app (and navigation), changing background/blend color values, no luck. It shows nothing.

Showing instructions in a text gauge works just fine. But sometimes, instead of saying “Turn left in X meters”, it’ll say, for example, “Drive southwest. Then, turn left in X meters”. This takes way too long to read or display at a glance, which is why I want to set up those icons. AFAIK, RealDash uses MapBox for getting map data and I assume it also uses MapBox’s API for generating navigation instructions.

PS:
1, Is it possible to set up triggers to show the correct icon whenever a certain text in the instruction is present? (For example, if it says “Drive southwest, then turn left”, show an arrow pointing to the left)
2, where do the icons come from? Is it possible to customize them? (The same goes for the weather icons, which work in a similar way)

That is how it should work, and with quick test it seems to work fine. Double check the blend colors for your image gauge that it is visible.

  1. No, this is automatic based on current navigation
  2. Icons are built-in into RealDash

Nope, I get nothing. Image gauges linked to the navigation instruction as directed always stay empty. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and in a new dash with only a button to toggle navigation and an image gauge with all default settings. Still doesn’t work. Weather icons no longer work either- I always get a reddish dot. They used to work fine until a few days ago.

I’m on iOS 18.3.2 and I live in Germany, if that matters.
