Upload an XML file

Complete novice but know how to use a forum, i’ve been through the FAQs and searched but I can not find how to input an XML in to RealDash. I have a Haltech v3 xml file from github and its on the Android device. Just cant seem to see any way to input it.

Sorry if im just missing something mega obvious but ive been looking for hours now.

What kind of xml @FrazUK13

Animation: edit, file, import animations

Data: Garage, car door, odometer, opens your connections.

Click on connection, select vehicle, custom channel description.

This file. im trying to use it as base start point. I’m using the IC7 skin, but im not getting any values for speed or boost, oil and fuel pressure are off by about 15psi from what the Haltech diagnostic is seeing.

@FrazUK13 first and foremost did you upload it? It would be the data: instructions you use. Lmk.

Managed to get as far as import. Then it says something along the lines of no app can support the required action.

Ok so I installed Amaze File Manager, and that let me get to the file. I then select the file and it gives another error. Failed to parse channel description file.

Seems this is an error related to Android versions over 9. I’ve read putting the XML on google drive resolves it. Will give it atry and report back.

Have you tried uploading the XML to the real dash site? I don’t use it but I believe you can do it that way as well. @FrazUK13

@FrazUK13 yeah when you open up to import you can select one they have on the app, custom channel description file, or the import from my RealDash. I use custom channel description file. I click it, gives me an option to import or select the file. If the file isn’t added import. It’s worked for me. In your case if that’s failing you can try the import from my RealDash which I assume is from your online account. I just can’t guide you on that as I never registered or use it.
