Has anyone figured a work around to get a Samsung A7 or other android tablet to charge while using a UBS-C to serial adapter? A standard wireless charging set up isn’t going to help with what I’m trying to do.

I bought four or five different android tablets and another dozen USB-C adapters/splitters trying to find a combination that would work, never did, despite some claims that some of them did support charging and data at the same time. In the end I bought an Android based radio. They are available in sizes from 7" to 15" and are designed to be powered on and off with the car’s 12V system, and have a USB port for the serial cable. They download real dash from the google store just fine.
