Many times I saw that changing usb port of adapter it takes a new serial port number. Realdash was crashing everytime on startup if he couldn’t find the port on my. I updated to latest version and now it holds good!
But of course I need to go to realdash setup and set the com port again. Is there any easy way to fix both on windows side or realdash?
This is a known problem. When you switch to different USB port, Windows will assign a new COM port number for your serial device. Then RealDash tries to connect to previous one which is saved. I can take a look if there is anything we can do about it, but I doubt, as COM port is the one RealDash can identify and connect to.
