How to connect to Euro Truck Simulator 2

Download the Euro Truck Simulator plugin and rdrelay app package:
https://www.realdash.net/dev/RealDash_ETS2.zip

HOW TO INSTALL

Copy win_x64 and win_x86 folders to Euro Truck Simulator 2 install\bin folder.
Override files if asked to do so.

HOW TO USE

Run rdrelay.exe to start relaying data from ETS2. Up to 8 RealDash instances
can connect to single rdrelay app instance.

On first start you may be asked to allow RealDash to use networking thru
Windows firewall.

HOW TO CONNECT REALDASH TO ETS2

With rdrelay app running, note the text: RD RELAY on IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,
port: 35000. Note the shown IP address and port as they are required in
RealDash to connect to relay.

If you are running RealDash locally on same machine with ETS2, Set the loopback
exempt to RealDash. Open new command prompt as Adminstrator and run:
CheckNetIsolation.exe LoopbackExempt -is -n=Napko.RealDash_tsn2xah6q27qw

One time setup on RealDash:

  1. Go to the ‘Garage’ and open the vehicle door.
  2. Tap the instrument cluster and select ‘Add’ on left menu to add new connection.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and select ‘Racing Simulator’.
  4. Select ‘Euro Truck Simulator 2’ from the connection type list.
  5. Enter the IP-address and port as displayed by rdrelay app.
  6. Tap upper left corner ‘Done’ button.
  7. Exit the Garage.

RealDash will connect to rdrelay and starts receiving data when Euro Truck
Simulator 2 driving mode is running.

I want to use this in linux. I use Ubuntu. I tried to copy the files to the game folder from the steam library and ran the executable with wine. A connected device appears in the window when I open realdash on the phone. I configured the connections correctly, but still the data does not appear in realdash. Does this functionality only work with windows?

It has been developed for Windows and never tested on Wine.

I have not tested the ETS2 connection for a long time. I will test to make sure that there is no issue with the connection on Windows.
