I bought the full version now it's prompting me to purchase subscription

I can’t replicate the app purchase/subscription issue. On a fresh install the app never spammed me at any moment to purchase nor to subscribe.

Hopefully they can replicate the Bluetooth issue.

Thanks for validating the connectivity issue, raking the time to do that is appreciated. I have had that same issue of it continuously spamming me to subscribe since day 1 and I raised the issue then as well and all I got was “well it shouldn’t be doing that”. There has to be some sort of error associated with my account. As far as the connection goes, I’ve even deleted all other obd2 apps that might possibly be connected or trying to connect and it didn’t make any difference. I mean I have no problem at all connecting outside of the app with any of the devices I use. Referring to just a Bluetooth connection in general, then any other obd2 apps I download work fine as well. Just this one, I don’t get it. I can even connect a esp32wroom to it but hit a brick wall any time I introduce RealDash into the equation, I’ve even opened torque after RealDash tries to turn on my phones Bluetooth which is already on and torque connects fine. Go back to RealDash and it’ll still be trying to turn Bluetooth on let alone trying to connect and no Matter what it always tries to turn on Bluetooth. I’ve even turned Bluetooth off so that it could turn it on and still nothing. Tried changing the Bluetooth settings in the app and nothing changed. I’m downloading it directly from play store and it’s up to date. I haven’t tried on my surface pro yet, but I’d have to delete a device from my account and lose the full version I paid for along with packing it everywhere I go giving someone a reason to break in to steal it.

The Developer has commented on the thread so I know he’s notified, tells me what all I’m supposed to get but not anything as to how to get it. I had the same issue when I first had the problem and notified them. Thats why I gave up in the first place.

It’ll take time for them to see that’s why I tested it and gave as much details on it with different/new devices, previously paired, and bought/unpaid for plans. Hopefully they can simulate something serious. Btw they don’t work on weekends and I believe they’re located in Europe, could be wrong. They tend to reply around midnight PST for me when I used to email them.

Lot has happened on this thread since I last checked.

One thing at the time,

So JBird, what is wrong with your purchases? Do you know that purchasing a full version from Google does not give you full version on Windows or iOS, nor the My RealDash subscription.

If you want to access all platforms and all premium content, you need to go to my.realdash.net, make an account and purchase the subscription. Then you need to log in from ‘Settings->User’ on each device in order to activate the subscription on that device. Also note that there is a device limit on how many devices can be used at the same time. You can remove ‘unused’ devices from My RealDash web page, or by simply logging out in RealDash.

Now, if you want to use your Google purchase Full version on multiple Android devices, it is possible but you have to use same Google account on each device and then use “Restore Purchases” option on each new device. See this post for more details:

Hey there! new here. Hmm, that does sound confusing. I’m not super familiar with this app, but maybe the full version is a one-time purchase for current features, and the subscription is for future updates? Just guessing though.

Yes, I am aware the full version I purchased only applies to the android OS. I was just using windows to create a custom dash, I am also aware of the device limit of 2 per account and have made sure I am using the registered devices. I have downloaded and re-downloaded the app multiple times and restored my purchase everytime. The features I should have access to with the full version it prompts me to subscribe, I am aware of what is and isn’t provided with the full app vs a subscription. It acknowledges I am using the full version as when it prompts me to subscribe the option to purchase the full version is not there. 2nd issue is no matter which device I use, head units, new galaxy, even an esp32 none will connect to Bluetooth. No matter what even if Bluetooth is on and its already connected outside of the app it acts like my Bluetooth is turned off and tries to turn it on and stays that way without connecting. It doesn’t do that with any of the other free obd2 bluetooth apps I have to use such as Torque or any other. They all connect fine on all devices. I’ve went into the app settings and set it to Bluetooth obd2, doesn’t fix anything. I raised this issue when it was first purchased a year ago almost and the only response I got from you was that dashes weren’t included with the full version which I wasn’t trying to do and that it shouldn’t be doing that. I gave up and decided to retry hoping the issues had been resolved over the past year. I originally bought it to use with IRACING because it said Sims were supported only to be told IRACING wasn’t. 2 weeks into it this go round and still nothing, it’s not even worth bothering with anymore as much time I’ve waisted messing with it and asking for assistance especially if you combine the 2 different occasions. I’m better off just buying the paid version of any of the others that do work.

Ok, maybe we can just agree that RealDash does not work for you? Please contact me at contact@realdash.net with your Google purchase receipts and we will refund all of them.
