I purchased the OBDlink EX, would like to you that to semd data to realdash. Can i use any of the can XML fikes to make this happen. Thanks.
You can use it to send OBD2 information at least. If the device can read canbus you can use it for that too but the issue is that you need to have the XML file for the vehicle. Unfortunately manufacturers don’t openly give out their PID so you’d either know them or have to decipher them per se.
You can check RealDash website to see if they have one for your specific vehicle. Sometimes you can use one from the same manufacturer but some PID will vary between years and even models.

Also, I could be wrong, but I believe you can select the XML file through the app now when setting up the device.
Thanks for responding. Car is a 2011 mustang gt with a 6r80 transmission.
OBDLink EX says “Made for FORScan”, but I’m assuming it also works as normal ELM327 compatible adapter.
Your Mustang should communicate with RealDash over OBD2 connection just with default settings. See this post for connection information:
