BUG ?
Thanks for the update.
I have applied the update to my Android head unit.
I am now getting disconnects/re-connects from the BT OBD, every few minutes.
I get a message “Connecting obdlink LX…” , then “Checking PID support” then normal, then it keeps cycling like this. Values go to zero before it reconnects.

I have unpaired the OBDlinkLX and re-paired it to the Android, and also redone the BT profile in RD, and tested monitor, good. This did not fix the problem. Please advise.

It could be that you have not noticed the connection timeouts before as gauges did not react to connection timeout before.

Send a debug log for analysis:

How to send a debug log - General / Frequently Asked Questions - RealDash Forum

DEBUG log was sent just now. Send an email to where ? What’s needed in the email ?

Thank you for your help. Sent you an email with link to pre-release version to test on.

Thank you, will install and report back.

Hello,
Thank you for sending. So far it is working well. I will continue to monitor and report back.

I have had the same problem. Should I share the debug log for analysis.
Thanks in advance.

If anything just capture a debug log send it through the app to them. Then come here and mention the time and date you sent it so they know which to look at.

There are many things that still need to be reviewed in RealDash, which still makes it an archaic program. One of them is not having an explanatory manual about the program’s features. Another is the Dash editor, which is very archaic and complicated, becoming a tiring and exhausting work interface. Creating just one dash the way you want is a lot of work, in addition to other flaws that could be improved.

where is this new version available for download

Ok, thank you for your feedback.

Its not available for public.

To make brightness control more universal on Linux, can RD be updated to use the brightness control as I stated here?
